Show The Gorge Some Love

Nothing has brought into clearer focus the tremendous love that people have for the magnificent Columbia River Gorge National Scenic Area than the Eagle Creek Fire. The wildfire made national headlines when it began on September 2 near the town of Cascade Locks, and then grew to more than 48,000 acres.

With the fire now under control and Interstate 84 reopened in both directions, hard-hit Gorge communities are inviting people “Show the Gorge Some Love” this fall by visiting and showing their appreciation for one of America’s greatest treasures.

And we are making it easier than ever for Portland residents to show the Gorge some love.

ReachNow is proud to sponsor “Show the Gorge Some Love.” Drive to Troutdale, Cascade Locks, Hood River or The Dalles in the comfort of a 4-wheel drive BMW or MINI. From October 1st thru November 30th, take a ReachNow from Portland to a participating hotel (listed below) and get your car, gas, and room for a total of just $130! ReachNow has more than 350 cars throughout Portland available on demand.

You might be asking yourself, is the Gorge still open for business? Are there still places to recreate? Yes! There are still dozens of hikes to the east, west and south to explore autumn's changing colors. Or take part in one or more of the many events happening throughout the area this fall like Hopsfest in Hood River or Thunder Island Brewing’s 4th anniversary celebration in Cascade Locks on October 21st.
