Wanting to head out to Mt Hood for skiing, snowboarding, snowshoeing, or just to play in the snow? The Mt. Hood Express runs seven days a week and is only $2 each way. The route runs from Sandy all the way up to Timberline Lodge with stops in between, with a ski box for you to stow your gear. Leave any worries about road conditions or parking availability behind. All you’ll have to think about is what your mid-snow day lunch will be.
If Hood River is your base camp, you can take the Columbia Area Transit (CAT) up to Mt. Hood Meadows via the FREE Gorge to Mountain Express. We recommend making a whole day of it! Spend the day enjoying mountain life, then head back down to Hood River for post exploration libations at pFriem Family Brewers, perfectly nestled along the Columbia River.
