Hood River Gets Grooving This March During 2019 Music Month

02/25/2019 | Event, The Hood River Chamber Of Commerce

March is the time when we start fantasizing about what’s coming around the corner, like April, May, or let’s be real, summer. Knowing that we can all get a bit restless during this in-between season, Hood River is the perfect antidote. Hood River has taken a large dose of music, added a bunch of awesome people (that would include you), tossed in a heap of variety, and turned March melancholy into March Music Month!

During the entire month of March, Hood River is hosting a wide range of musical acts— everything from jazz, acoustic, indie, rock and bluegrass to classical and musical theatre.

Mamma Mia! The Musical, Josiah Johnson (formerly with The Head & The Heart), Rattlesnake Organ Trio, with Oregon Music Hall of Fame inductee Carlton Jackson, and the Jeff Austin Band, formerly with Yonder Mountain String Band. These are just four out of the dozens of live music events happening in Hood River this March during Hood River Music Month.

So plan to kick up those heels, grab a glass of something, and congregate in the company of others. You’ll soon remember why it is that music has served as a powerful healing force across the ages.

Note that most venues welcome music-lovers of all ages, and many of the Hood River Music Month events are free. Check out http://hoodriver.org/hood-river-music-month/ for the current, and growing, list of acts! Pick your favorites and plan your multi-day stay.
