Once dubbed The Best Adventure Town in the West, Hood River offerings reach beyond outdoors exploration. Strolling through town, you’ll find a robust array of well-designed window displays featuring locally-sourced to handmade creations sure to grab your fancy. Here are some of our favorite Hood River shops welcoming in-store visitors this holiday season—of course, just make sure to have your mask in tow!

Apple Green Home + Garden

Gift and accessories for home & garden. 

Have a botanist on your holiday shopping list? Hood River’s Apple Green Home + Garden is a green thumb’s paradise, featuring a thoughtful collection of plant themed gifts and personal accessories. This shop makes it easy to create your own curated holiday gift box, or cross off all your stocking stuffers wishlist here. 

Located on 12th St., cross the road for a quick and well-earned treat at Pine Street Bakery. A hot honey cinnamon latte to-go is just what you need to fuel your holiday shopping excursion.

G. Williker's Toy Shoppe

A true treasure trove of toys, G. Williker’s has been a beloved staple to Hood River since 2002. Family owned and operated, the shop curates nostalgic trinkets to contemporary toys and entertainment. This will be the stop for finding the ultimate gift for your more youthful gift recipients—or perhaps, for those just young at heart. 

To make your visit socially distanced friendly, the shop welcomes in eight visitors at a time. If you happen to stumble upon a line, head one block down to the corner of 1st and Oak for some Danish pancakes at Broder Øst

Nothing says morning fuel like a piping hot cup of coffee. Grab an espresso and a couple of their homemade baked goods to fuel your shopping spree. 

pFriem Family Brewers

Home to everyone’s new fave hazy IPA, pFriem offers indoor and outdoor seating, making it a great spot for chowing down during lunchtime or dinner. Want a little more room than six feet apart from other diners? pFriem lets you order beer & food to-go through their online ordering platform. 

Riverside at Best Western Plus Hood River Inn

Want to kick back with a view of the Columbia River? Yes, us too! Featuring both indoor seating, Riverside also offers a large outdoor dining deck so you can enjoy panoramic views of the Gorge. This spot serves breakfast, lunch, and dinner, so you can pop in before, after, or in-between your bustling shopping day.

Stave & Stone Winery

Take a load off and warm up while wine tasting at Stave & Stone. If you want to shop more later, hop over to their downtown tasting room--or if you’re craving more of an escape into nature, head to their vineyard location. 

Note: While minors are not able to come along to the tasting rooms, save this one for a friend’s day out! Reservations required.
