This summer the RS Aero Class is returning to the Columbia River Gorge for the 2016 Aero US National Championship. Whether you sail yourself and want to join or just want to watch, come on down on August 10th-14th and check out 30 or more boats racing on the Columbia River.
The Gorge is North America's answer to Europe's Lake Garda, with the thermal breeze accelerating as it compresses through the mountainous Gorge. However, the river current provides a conveyor belt ride back upwind and creates interesting swells to catch downwind adding a whole new dimension to the enjoyment, excitement and race strategies!
August 13th-14th sees the main event, the RS Aero National Championships. Organizers are expecting 30+ boats of all abilities to attend and with the fantastic conditions the Gorge has to offer, it is set to be two days of really exciting racing.
