MT HOOD & THE
COLUMBIA RIVER GORGE

Treat Yourself In the East Gorge

They say that for every mile east you drive in The Gorge from Cascade Locks, you get 1 less inch of rainfall each year. The Dalles is known for being simply sunsational, with over 300 days of sunshine each year. Which is why it is one of the most beautiful places to go come spring. Visit for a few days to soak up the sun, the surroundings, and some sun salutations on a SUP.

April and May you can find huge swaths of basalm root (similar to the sunflower) blooming fields of yellow along the hillsides near The Dalles. Check out the Rowena Crest Trail for some of the best spring wildflower spotting.

Looking to find your chi? Try out yoga on SUP boards on the Columbia River with Float on SUP Yoga. Guide Ami will take you to her favorite spots on the river and point out landmarks and wildlife along the way.

End the day outside with a cold brew from Freebridge Brewing or italian soda from the Riverenza.
