As the scent of blooming cherry blossoms fade, SUNsational The Dalles becomes a hub of spring and summer activities. Columbia Gorge Regional Fly-in
Aeronautical enthusiasts can start Saturday June 15th off at the Columbia Gorge Regional Fly-In where Columbia Gorge Regional Airport will put on an air show. Visitors may even meet a P37 pilot from WWII!
Gorge Hops and Hogs Festival
After the air show, head over to Lewis & Clark Festival Park for BBQ, beer and picnics at the 2nd Annual Gorge Hops and Hogs Festival. Beer and BBQ enthusiasts alike will enjoy the sights, sounds, and tastes of summer at this outdoor festival. This family-friendly event will feature a BBQ competition, People’s Choice BBQ tasting, regional craft beer and wine, beer yoga, live music, food trucks, vendors, sponsor exhibits, backyard games, a kids’ zone and more.
Hail to the Jeep Car Show
On Sunday enjoy brunch at Mama Jane’s Pancake House before cruising on down to the Hail to the Jeep car show, put on by The Columbia Gorge Veterans Museum. The show is meant to showcase all cars and motorcycles - especially military vehicles.
Celebrate family and bring your blankets and lawn chairs, because it’s time to hike, eat, drink and enjoy!
