Hear in the Gorge LIVE podcast with Terrie Brigham

11/05/2019 | Cascade Locks, Event, Heritage

This past October, Terrie Brigham, co-owner of Brigham Fish Market in Cascade Locks, joined Sarah Fox, host and producer of the Hear in the Gorge podcast series, to discuss tribal fishing along the Columbia River. Terrie is multi-faceted member of the Columbia River Gorge Community: a member of the Confederated Tribes of the Umatilla Indian Reservation, a fisherman, captain, hunter, and parent of three beautiful kids. In this live interview, Terrie talks about what it’s like to fish with a dip-net from wooden platforms on the Columbia, and much more. She also discusses how the right to continue fishing is a fight for civil rights that is uniquely connected to the Pacific Northwest.
