Pretty much everywhere you turn in the Columbia River Gorge and Mt. Hood Territory is a great spot for a photo op. With waterfalls, incredible hiking views, and beautifully designed restaurants, we’ve rounded up some of the most Instagram worthy spots for your next trip out to the region.

Sugarpine Drive In

Located in Troutdale, the Gateway to the Gorge, Sugarpine Drive-In serves delectable, locally sourced, and seasonal treats. Stop by pre or post hike for a delicious (and gigantic) soft serve, flavorful sandwich, or colorful salad. HOT TIP: Try the seasonal vegan soft serve… you won’t regret it.

Mosier Plateau

The waterfall corridor gets a lot of Instagram action, and thus a lot of crowds. For a less crowded hike, head to Mosier Plateau. You will still get stunning views of the Columbia River, with more room to roam, and it’s dog friendly!

Kainos Coffee

Make your way to the colorful Kainos Coffee cafe in The Dalles to sip on delicious coffee or speciality homemade sodas and baked goods. This is the perfect place to start your morning, or for an afternoon pick me up! HOT TIP: This coffee shop is also known for their delicious wood-fired pizza.
