07/23/2019 | Event, Food, The Dalles

Get the most out of the last month of summer by checking out some great events in The Dalles in August.

Are you a classic car lover? Enjoy three days of four exciting events during the CRUISE THE GORGE Weekend August 9-11, 2019. Kick off the weekend on Friday with the Neon Cruise. Saturday enjoy the Show In The Shade at Sorosis Park. And on Sunday check out the Dufur Classic Car Show in downtown Dufur and the Classic Drags at Columbia Gorge Regional Airport in Dallesport.

Do you prefer picnics and fine wine over classic cars? Celebrate the Eastern Columbia River Gorge’s farm-fresh cuisine and fine wines while you dine amongst the cherry trees and vineyards at this summer’s ‘Bounty of the County’ Farm 2 Fork event on Saturday, August 17th, 2019. Tickets are on sale now for a limited time only! Don’t miss out on an evening of local food and wine pairings, live music, an amazing view of Mt Hood and a chance to meet your local farmers and artisans at Polehn Farms.

If carnival food is more your speed then take the whole family to The Wasco County Fair! Pair a rich history of 100 years of tradition with all of the new attractions. This year's fair includes carnival rides, Pirate Parrot Ship, and performances by Coventry & Kaluza Circus and Comedy Show. To top it off, August 22nd is free Family Fun Day. Take a trip to Tygh Valley to enjoy the rodeo, live music, other entertainment and demolition derby included with admission. For more information check out their Facebook page.
