Treat Yourself in the East Gorge: They say that for every mile east you drive in The Gorge from Cascade Locks, you get 1 less inch of rainfall each year. The Dalles is known for being simply sunsational, with over 300 days of sunshine each year. Which is why it is one of the most beautiful places to go come spring. Visit for a few days to soak up the sun, the surroundings, and some sun salutations on a SUP.

Overnight Adventure: They say it's all about the journey, not the destination. We aren't quite sure about that when it comes to some of our favorite and more memorable places to stay in the Mt. Hood and Columbia River Gorge area. Follow the link to learn about some of our favorite overnight stays.

Take a Brewery Tour of the Gorge: No longer are the outdoor recreation adventures the main draw to visit the Columbia River Gorge. There is a thriving craft brewery scene from Troutdale all the way to The Dalles just waiting to be explored... or tasted.

A Fresh New Perspective: Here in the Mt. Hood and Columbia River Gorge we make it easy to adventure beyond the usual car journey. Make your next trip here by air, by boat, by jet, by rapids, or maybe even by scaling giant trees!
