MT HOOD & THE
COLUMBIA RIVER GORGE

Like you, we are all staying home right now to do our part to flatten the curve (Yay!). But that doesn't mean we can't have fun doing it while celebrating our favorite memories and places to visit on Mt. Hood and in the Columbia River Gorge. This is an opportunity to let your imagination take you on an adventure... and you might even win a prize!

We want YOU to create your favorite HOMEMADE versions of the region. Thanks to inspiration from The Getty Museum and Instagrammer @tussenkunstenquarantaine, you're invited to recreate scenes of Mt. Hood and the Columbia River Gorge with stuff you have around the house. Such as...

Make your pet hedgehog magically turn into Herman the Sturgeon from Bonneville Dam!

Miss kayaking on our lakes? Grab a blue bag and some card board and voila, it's like you are there!

This is a great project to get your kids involved with or to tap into your kid at heart!

  2. Recreate that image at home! Get creative with items you have around the house - please, no Photoshop allowed.
  3. IMPORTANT: Share your recreation alongside the original inspiration photo. Photos can be shared as a Facebook post, Instagram post or Instagram stories. No matter the platform, be sure to tag @hoodgorge and use the hashtags #hoodgorgehomemade and #quaranscenery to enter the contest.
  4. Multiple entries are encouraged! However, there will only be one (1) prize awarded per entrant.
  5. By tagging @hoodgorge and using the contest hashtags above you will automatically be entered into the contest. We will share some of our favorite creative entries throughout the duration of the contest.
