The Infinity Loop route makes for the perfect road trip through the Mt. Hood and Columbia River Gorge region, ensuring you don’t miss out on any of our best sights and hidden gems. Your adventure will take you in and out of lush green forests, through bountiful orchards and vineyards, along the Historic Oregon Trail, up Oregon’s tallest mountain, and past sparkling rivers and streams. There are endless (one might even say infinite) adventures and experiences waiting for you, starting just 20 miles east of Portland. What are you waiting for? King of the Roads Barn Museum
Start your journey along the Historic Columbia River Highway at the King of Roads museum, with exhibits showcasing the construction of the road as well as local history.
North American Bigfoot Center
Discover cryptic history from around the world, as well as numerous Bigfoot sightings around the Mt. Hood area. Keep your eye out on your next hike!
Jonsrud Viewpoint

Estacada Public Murals

Wildwood Recreation Site

From beginner trails to double black diamond technical terrain, Sandy Ridge offers 17 miles of world-class mountain bike trails.
Mt. Hood Cultural Center & Museum
Find snow sports heritage, natural history, and more at this alpine museum. Plus, stop by their front desk for visitor information and local recommendations.
Bonneville Dam & Fish Hatchery
Herman the Sturgeon is a bit of a celebrity - at 10' long, 500 pounds, and 80 years old (you're invited to his birthday party in June!). Visit the fish hatchery to meet Herman and his friends, and stop at nearby Bonneville Dam to learn about hydroelectric power supplied by the Columbia River.
Bridge of the Gods
The city of Cascade Locks sits at the base of the Bridge of the Gods, a soaring cantilever bridge that is part of the Pacific Crest Trail and featured in Reese Witherspoon film Wild. Learn more about the bridge and its history at the Port of Cascade Locks website.
Columbia Gorge Sternwheeler
Take a river cruise aboard the historic Sternwheeler! The views can't be beat with a variety of cruise options available, from brunch to sunset.
WAAAM (Western Antique Aeroplane and Automobile Museum)
This incredible collection of over 130 antique cars as well as airplanes is a sight to behold whether you're an enthusiast or not. Plus, their collection is fully functional! You might catch them out for a spin if you're lucky.
Hood River Fruit Loop
The Hood River Fruit Loop guides you through the farms, orchards, and wineries that thrive in the lush valley at the base of Mt. Hood. Find farm-fresh produce, u-pick opportunities, and incredible views at the many stops along this 35-mile loop.
Big Art Walking Tour - Downtown Hood River
There's no shortage of art in Hood River! The Big Art Walk is a self-guided tour through a collection of outdoor sculptures. Art appreciators will also enjoy downtown galleries like 301 Gallery and Art on Oak Artists' Cooperative.
Mosier Twin Tunnels
The Historic Columbia River Highway State Trail is a series of paved pedestrian and bike paths following the historic Highway 30 route. E-Bike rentals and guided trips are available from several local outfitters.
Columbia Gorge Discovery Center
Natural and cultural history exhibits, plus a live raptor program - The Discovery Center is a great introduction to the Columbia River Gorge. Stop in to start your journey through the region. The paved River Trail connects the Center to the downtown area of The Dalles.

Oregon Trail
The town of Dufur is located right along the Oregon Trail. Learn more about local Oregon Trail history when you listen to the "Hear in the Gorge" podcast episode, and if you're visiting Dufur, check out the historic Balch Hotel, built in 1907.
